Ms. Paulina Stanoeva from the EU Delegation in the country held a meeting with Auditor General Maksim Acevski and SAO staff who actively participated in the activities of the previous and are now involved in the current twinning project funded by EU funds.
The meeting was held on the occasion of departure of Ms. Stanoeva from the position of Program Manager in the EU Delegation, which she has successfully held for the past seven years, before she continues her professional career in a neighboring country from September 2021.
Auditor General conveyed gratitude to Ms. Stanoeva for the many years of successful cooperation and support for SAO development and reforms in the field of state audit to implement the international standards of supreme audit institutions and to apply best European practices.
Ms. Stanoeva spoked highly of Auditor General and SAO staff cooperation and the results achieved, and expressed support in the implementation of future twinning activities. The planned activities refer to improvement of the legal framework for performing state audit for ensuring constitutional, operational and financial independence, as well as strengthening cooperation with all stakeholders for effective action upon audit recommendations.
